Slide topper bracket

Noticed both of these brackets we're hanging from the camper. What do they do? I assume they are there for reason but what?Click image for larger version

At the end of the topper there should be a little stubby arm called an anti billow arm. It sticks up at about a 45 degree angle. That plate is there to catch the anti billow arm in case it starts to unroll while your traveling, preventing the topper from un rolling.

I have a V-Lite 30fkss. Both of mine were pulled out. The putty is what kept them in the TT. Some of the other post seem to let me believe they just install the screws into the fibreglass walls and call it good. I'm going to install some anchor's. Same thing happened on my main door. The bracket that has a gas shock attached to keep the door open. The mounting screws were run the the fiberglass, no support behind it. Thanks Dale
