Slow-Rise Shade Spring Sprung

My unit is only one month old and came with the Slow-Rise window shades. This morning I went to raise one and heard the weird quick noise and the shade would not raise because the spring is sprung.

I don't know it is broken totally or not. I watched a video on You Tube on adjusting it so I rolled it by hand and finally got it to stay up. I went to town, got back in the heat of the day, tried to lower it and as soon as I did it all rolled out again like this morning.

Any ideas on how to fix it? It is very difficult to get to it and it is not like one in your home that you can just pop out and rewind. This is on a Sierra 371 rebh. It is the shade above the sofa.

My new 2017 3011ds just did the same thing. Now I have to show off my new rv with a broken blind as the dealer doeant stock them. Sucks only being 3 weeks old and broke already.

I have been in touch with the dealer and also the shade manufacturer and also Forest River. These shades do not have a part number. They are made by window measurement and on an as needed basis.

I still do not have a replacement shade. I am really getting frustrated. Also, even though the shade is under warranty, the service call is not. I will have to find a mobile repair because my unit is 43 ft. long and I do not have a tow vehicle. It would seem they should cover the service call as well.

Take your blind down and take it to the dealer. If they are any count at all, they will order it for you and let you put it back up. They are held up with spring loaded clips.
