BombDoc: I have also used silicone grease! It is available at Home Depot, etc. and more readily at swimming pool supply stores. They use it for lubricating O-rings, etc. Very inexpensive product. It is not really a grease, just the substance of grease. This product will provide a lasting coat of lubricant. Use a couple-three doubled up Q-Tips to apply onto surfaces.
