Storage doors leaks

We have 2017 Flagstaff Micro Lite and wintering first time in central Florida. Recent heavy wind driven rain seemed not to be a problem. This morning opened pass through storage door and find inside base of side wall with water drops and wet at junction of floor, wall and rubber seal the wall sits on. Seems like the frame of this door should be caulked? None of our storage door frames are caulked! I plan to use clear 100% Silicone?

So caulking is probably necessary but carefully pick a more UV stable sealant? What would Forest River use? Or is this appearance problem why not sealed to begin with?

I keep reading that silicone is NOT to be used on rv's. Proflex seems to be the preferred current product available.
