I am about to start prepping to switch my door from a right hand open to left hand open
. Looks pretty easy and straight forward (if i had a left hand door), but since i don't think i will find one, i think i need a donor (right hand open) door that i will modify. Anyone ever do this? Pointers would be helpful, otherwise i have a lot of fiberglass work and routing cutouts and hole filling to do
.
Or if anyone has a door they would be willing to sell or donate that would be helpful. I have a 2014 rockwood roo 21DK. The door is to the rear of the trailer and opens towards the rear. When enjoying the patio area the door is a issue with me. As well when i am putting the awing out, or looking toward the front of the trailer, you have to exit the trailer to look in that direction.
I am about to start switching the door to open to the other side. Any help would be helpful
. Also I dont care about warranty work, dealer workmanship is terrible and not worth the petty issues that arise.
I did get a quote from Forest River: "
A new entrance door is part# 10-14893A $503.80 each plus $40.00 crate plus freight." (yeah like i am going to spend $700 on a door that i still need to take apart and switch sides.)
Comments welcome. (example of the door and patio area i am talking about in pic)
