Will a power awning open when connected to 120v outlet ?

Will a power awning open when connected to 120v outlet ? I have nothing else running and it won't budge. On my last trip when connected to 30amp service it would barely close . Any ideas before I called the tech ? I have a 2013 grey wolf 28bhs . Thanks

Your power awning should run off the 12 volts. The first thing I would look at is the tracks on the side of the camper and check for loose parts or one other obstruction.

IF, you can get it fully deployed, check to make sure the material is centered on the roller. If it is 1/4" or more closer to one end of the tube than the other, it will bind on the arms when closing and be difficult to open again. If it is over 1/2" off center it may not even close all the way.

Once you get it fully deployed and the material centered, drill a 3/16" dia hole thru the hem and roller and use a large head pop rivet to secure. Do both ends. The picture shows the awning over extended to install the rivet.

On mine, the electrical connection came unplugged near the roller. You might check that.

Happened to me. Finally figured out. Was just the fuse in the power center. Might want to look at it.

The responses as per 12v operation are spot on. I run mine in and out occasionally, like today to get the numbers to check the recall (missed it by 11 days and 476 awnings) lol while not plugged into any electrical source, only using the batteries.

My awning is powered from a fused link directly attached to the 12v house batteries. The fuse has to be pulled and reinserted to get the awning to operate, I've cleaned it several times but the problem persists.

Sounds like a lose or corroded connection.
