If you are thinking for winter, I know I have seen many people just use stretch wrap / Saran Wrap on the inside of the windows windows. That way it almost makes them like a double pane window. Similar to what people do on their houses. Seems to add an extra layer of insulation at a pretty minimal cost.
Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a try. I'm talking about when we travel and it's cold outside and warmer inside...lots of moisture builds up on the inside of the window.
You can buy a roll of window heat shrink film and separate “outdoor” heavy duty double sided window tape. Make sure it’s the outdoor type. Apply the tape to the window frame carefully as to not get it on the wall board. I use an X-acto knife to trim the excess tape as to not get it on the frame. Let the tape sit for about 5 minutes before pulling off the paper. Cut and hang the plastic pushing on the tape several times to get a good adhesion. Let that side for at least 15 minutes before using a hair dryer to lightly shrink the plastic to get wrinkles out. Don’t over heat or the tape will pop.
For hunting season I have cut and trimmed reflectix to fit - stuff in the window frame before I put up the window film. Really helps to keep int the heat and little too no condensation but covers the windows.
I also leave these reflectix sheets up all winter in storage to keep out prying eyes and the sun light.
