Window Latch Adjustment

One of our vertical sliding emergency exit windows will not latch when window is closed.

Hopefully, you can see in the pictures that the red piece that is supposed to go into a slot in the track is above the slot. Does anyone have similar, is the track adjustable?

Any advice on how to rotate photos would be appreciated also.

You should be able to rotate the picture by opening it in your phone, go into edit, rotate and save. As for the window, did you try having someone on the outside pushing the frame inward.

On my computer, they open oriented correctly.

The problem is that the hole is further down than the window will travel.

Adjusted the piece with holes that it latches into, all is well. Had to take the window that slides out to get to one of the set screws.

Sorry, didn't take photos. Next time i am out, I will try to remember in case someone else has same problem.
