Just a word of advice, if you want help from this forum, you need to ask a question, instead of making random comments on multiple threads. We need more info if you want help.

You have stated that your 2000 sandpiper has rotted walls and ceiling. Has any preventative maintenance been done on this unit in the past 15yrs?

They bought it new and said they were weekenders. It looked brand new inside. Like it was when it was bought.

My husband was having major back surgery in two weeks so he couldn't inspect it like he did our other one.

We were on a dead line and as clean as it was we took them at their word.

Ok ..... Take a deep breath, and in a single post, tell us what kind of problems you are having. Pictures of damaged areas, inside and out, will tell us a lot! Unfortunately, some say they have done maintenance every year, yet they really don't know what all that involves. We are here to help, but you have to help us.

Ok deep breath. I just get so beside myself . Husbands surgery failed and he can hardly walk so it's me and our son trying to do stuff I can't wrap my mind around. I will take pictures of the outside walls to show where both slides were cut into and screwed back on n I guess painted.
This is a weight lifted. Thanks everyone

I see some possible repairs. But that in it self is not necessarily bad if done correctly...... but is there water or damp areas inside? Are the walls soft??? Explain what you mean by rotted????

I found it when putting sheets on , the wall with the sides cut out gave way just by tucking sheet down that side. From top to almost floor . If pushed very much might go plum through

Moderator or someone should resize the pictures so they fit on the page without scrolling side to side. Thanks.

TCSMOM, are you looking for the forum members to talk you and your son through trying to repair what you think is rot? Honestly, if your wall is rotted, unless your son is a pretty handy young man (not a child), this may be more than you guys can repair even with advise from many experienced RVers in this forum. But, I'll guarantee that the folks on this forum will do all we can do to help, but someone who is skilled will have to do the work on site.

FRF members, looks like TCSMOM is in the Chesapeake, Va area. Anyone know a reputable dealer or independent RV repair guy in that area.
