2011 Wildwood 24 TBSS Slideout not moving

The unit has power and you hear the motor running but it will not extend out or retract in. The Shop says the motor has to be replaced because the internal gears are not working properly. The slideout had to be put in travel position manually, so we know it is on the tracks. I have the trailer getting the roof resealed and going to put it up for sale. Any suggestions?
