2012 Forest River Solera Slide Problem

If anyone out there has this or an earlier year with Lippert slide. Could really use some help. Recently purchased this unit here in California, Dealer adjusted the slide after purchase and shortly after we noticed a tear in the underbelly of slide adjacent to the sidewall frame with wear scrapes to about 8 ins in from edge. Dealer states that something must have caught under bottom slide and damaged it and is denying responsibility, in checking I found that the plastic strip that lifts the slide up over the carpet which is aprox 4.5" x 111" long and visible when you lift up carpet edge with slide fully out appears to have been modified in such a way that it does not support slide under its sidewall and the modified edge coincides with the location of he tear. I have attached photos of underside of slide and plastic strip. If anyone has this model could you post a photo of the end of your support strip so I can determine if I need to install a new strip cut off at 90 degrees before I repair the slide damage. I believe that adjusting the slide may have caused the load to shift to this unsupported sheet fibreglass off of the sidewall framework and then caused tear, but obviously if other Soleras are cut in the same way I need to reevaluateotential cause
