Question 2015 Cherokee Limited 274RK Slide issue

I adjusted my slide, today. There was a 2” gap inside at the bottom of the slid, when fully extended. That caused an air leak and prevented my pantry door from opening adequately. After reading all I could on the topic and after a couple attempts to resolve the issue I found another way. There was not enough adjustment left to correct my issue. The vertical adjustment was maxed as well the horizontal bolts only had an inch left. So I moved the drive drive 2”. There are about 8 mounting holes on the frame, it uses two. This corrected the issue. It slides in/out just like it did, Maybe easier now, except the thing now seals inside.

Does anybody think I might have created a new issue (as my research suggested I could) with the adjustment by moving the drive mount?

Thanks for your opinions,
Sam

It depends on how the slide fits both when extended and retracted when properly adjust it should compress the gaskets at least 50% . if it operates smoothly and seals correctly I would say good job. things are not always adjusted correctly from the factory.

The cushion on the inside is quite rigid to the touch and covered with what feels like roofing material. I don’t feel any “compression” in it. It has a double sweep gasket on the sides, I’m assuming that is the seal. The slide leans in from the bottom when retracting that seems normal. My concern is to much pressure on the top wall above the slide. Essentially what I did was extend the bottom. Then again there is no upper angle adjustment left.
