2021 264DBH slide getting stuck on top going in.

Good Day all. I have a 2021 Cherokee 264DBH where the slide gets stuck when I bring it in (half way in the slide starts tipping, bottom comes in but top sticks). I did notice that the right side of the slide is closer to the seal on top than the bottom and is over to the right more than on the left side. I believe it is a LCI rack and pinion slide mechanism. Has anyone moved/shifted their slide right to left before? what is the best way to fix? the dealer is 4 hours away and LCI and FR not acknowledging it is a warranty issue. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. When you say sticks do you mean it doesn't come in or only slows then continues to retract? Slide boxes do not always sit side to side or top to bottom the same distance from the rig walls. a properly adjusted slide will crush the gasket around 50%. Your rig is new drive and under warranty drive to the dealer and get it fixed or find a RV repair in your area and get approval of FR for the adjustment. Keep after them for response.

@SeaDog Thank you for your reply and information. I do notice that the slide struggles halfway in or out to where I feel a vibration due to the slide rubbing on the top rear of the TT frame. I did call the dealer and they are short staffed and mad an appointment for late July I guess I will be out half of my warranty.

I did call a local RV collision shop who will take a look at the list of concerning items this week just so I can enjoy my new Cherokee this season. there are so many hoops to jump through just for FR to consider a warranty claim, but if we can get most fixed so it will not cause more damage the family memories will be worth the pain.

Cheers and happy camping.

Press them to pay for it regardless, their inability to get you in the shop in a timely manner is their problem, not yours.
