3200BHT AccuSlide adjustment

Just like the title says, I have a PT Tracer 3200BHT with a large slide that utilizes the BAL Accu Slide cable and motor mechanism.
The cables have gotten to the point there is too much slack, but to get to the adjusters, seems to be a P.I.T.A. I don't have pictures but looks like i'll be taking off a lot of trim on the top of the slide (inside), doing the adjustments, then using a finish nailer to put it all back.
Question is, has anyone tried doing this? My camper was just parked at our seasonal site, 1 hour 45 minutes away... and I haven't even thought of calling the dealer, as i know here in Richmond, their time fills up quick.
It doesn't look hard or bad to do, looks like it will be one step at a time, check it, tweak a little more, check it.

So, any insight you all have, please share!
Thanks in advance.
Tom

I have the same TT, and I haven't experienced this yet (hope I don't have to). I'm going to be opening mine up this week for a trip coming up soon. I'm going to have to check mine

I adjusted the one I had in a trailer we previously owned. It can be tough to get to some of the adjusting locations and every trailer is a different configuration, but other than that its really easy. It a great system and way more dependable that anything from LCI.

What I found is the manufacturers typically install them wrong or sloppy. Check the pulleys mounted at the corners. Its not unusual for those to start pulling loose because the RV manufacturer stripped the screws or only screwed them in to luan. A lot of the time the slack comes from the pulleys starting to pull loose.

Thanks!! Yeah, I checked and double checked every pulley and those are solid. Mine stopped coming in when we were packing up and I looked up to see the cable block (tensioner, i guess) was hitting the passing block. At the time, I just wanted to close it up, and get it to our campground. Looks like in 2 weeks when camping officially begins, i'll be pulling the valance off and adjusting..... carefully.

I'll be taking pictures and will post them so other people with the same trailer will be in the know!

Ok. Well. This wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. All of the "wood" was held in place by short nails or staples. Came off rather easy. One that was off, I was able to get to the cables. Click image for larger version

Then I realized that it was the chain adjustment that needed to happen. Click image for larger version

Piece of cake. Turned the middle nut just like the instructions said.
All in all, start to finish, about two hours. That's taking down "wood", access the issue, verify within instruction manual, make changes, try it out.
