8280ws Wardrobe slide not working

Hello. I have an 8280ws Wardrobe slide not working. I was plugged in at campsite and everthing else works, even the couch/dinette slide but totally silent when tried the wardrobe. Had to bring in manually. Does anyone know where the fuse for this may be. I do not see one on the main fuse box and there was a fuse in front storage when you follow the lead off the positive of battery, changed that (30) but still nothing on slide.

It is possible that the fuse is on a pigtail fuse holder located behind the power center. Turn off the 120VAC AC (shore) power and Remove the 4 screws holding the power center to the wall and slide it out. Look to see if any of the pigtail fuses (there may be more than one) are blown.

Actually I was suggesting you slide the entire power center out of the wall and have you check behind it for fuse holders.

herk you were 100% right "It is possible that the fuse is on a pigtail fuse holder located behind the power center." ..I was unable to get to the job so let the dealer do it for $50. The guy took 3 hours and tore apart the trailer, plus took off the underbelly to look for the fuse. He finally found it behind the power center. Said he has never seen this before and seems to be exclusive to the 2010 8280ws model !!

Wel at least I know if it ever happens again. herk 7769 rules

Good to hear that they found the problem and only nicked you for $50. I'll give you my thanks now should I ever have the same problem and need to find the fuse.

Typically there are several possible "pigtail" type fuses and a resetting fuse (see photo) that come off the battery.

The square one with the button on the side is for the main battery protection and is usually 40 amps or less.

The pigtails are specific to the camper. They can be for:

1) Front landing gear (5th wheels)
2) Power Jack (TTs)
3) Main slide or slides (1 for each)

My 8526RLWS has 3 there plus the 40 amp main.
1) Landing gear - 30 amp
2) Left opposing slide - 30 amp
3) Right opposiong slide - 30 amp

The wardrobe slide fuse is located in a pigtail behind the power center.

Hello I was wondering do you mean the main fuse box or the one on the wall with all the switches as we are having the same problem with our Rockwood 8082ws.
Thanx Tracy

What you call the "main fuse box;" I call the "power center" as as it contains the AC circuit breakers, the DC fuses and the Converter that converts 120 volt shore power into staged DC power to run your camper and charge your battery.

Attached to the same screw terminals as the battery wires, there are pigtail wires that go to fuses that do not fit into the typical power center. The fuses are located right behind the power center that must be unscrewed and slid forward to access the fuses located back there.
