Are slide adjustments needed? New Rver

We got our 315RST 2018 Crusader 5th wheel in October 2018. We purchased an extended warranty.
In November 2019 we went in to the dealership to have a piece of trim replaced (on inside of slide under fireplace) and inquired about a slide seal that was torn on the kitchen slide.

We were told that the trim and tear might have happened because there needs to be an adjustment to the slide. Then later we found out the adjustment would not be covered because it was "maintenance". (We do put lubricant on the seals).

I don't understand what they mean by "maintenance". The trailer is so new it would seem to me that if an adjustment needs to be made - perhaps it was not right in the first place?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts and any additional questions we should ask next time we talk to them.

Welcome to FRF.

Slide rooms can need adjustments from time to time as does anything that moves, so it's likely that the room is out of alignment side to side or vertically. And unfortunately adjustments and lubrication are considered maintenance items.
