Asian Beetles Eating your Slide Rubber?

This comment from my local RV dealer's repair shop, has me frustrated and now I have to tell my experience and ask everyone that reads this, have any RV owners, other than myself, been told by their repair shop, Beetles are eating the slide rubber seals causing them to fail prematurely. We find Love Bugs and Asian Beetles hiding between the seals all the time, so they must be the cause, REALY?

I had this dealer's repair shop replace my 8 yr. slide seals last summer that had begun to fail. I thought the new seals would last a while, but when cleaning the top of the slides this spring, I noticed the top seal on one slide had began to fail/melt leaving rubber deposits on the slide frame. I called then towed the RV to the dealer to show the damage only to be told the above tail. They were not interested in looking at the damage and was told it would be a month before they could fix the issue. I returned home with the RV and found another repair shop only to fix, told him my Tall Tail and got a huge LOL. Now he will replace the rubber seal and guaranteed no beetles will eat it.

I feel Very Disappointed by the local and only RV dealer in the town we live, guess I'll have to go back to EBay for my accessories and purchases.
