Awning Roller Support Bracket Broken

We have a 2019 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite. Model T263BHXL. It has stayed alongside our house for quite a while - we had it serviced last Jan. and did not get out to camp once so far this year.

I took it out to run it around the block a few weeks back. When I put it back I extended the slide out. The other day I noticed water collecting on top of the awning and realized I had not extended it completely. I ran it the rest of the way out - about 6-8 inches I suppose - and heard a big POP. I went around and saw that one of the supports for the awning had broken off. I added two photos showing this.

It was not hung up on anything and nothing was in the way so I am not sure why this happened. I checked the bracket on the other end and it looks like it may be ready to break off as well. Is this common? Could the awning have bound up somehow so when I ran it out it got caught up? Maybe these are just really poorly made - they don't seem all that substantial.

It is raining like crazy today so I am not going to look at it too much more. I used an old cord to snug the reel end as close as I could to the outside of the slideout. I cannot find a replacement part online but put a voicemail in to the local Forest River dealer to see if they can help me get a part number.

It looks like maybe the end piece might just bolt on but if I had to I guess I could replace the entire bracket(s).

What's the fishnet/rope mesh stuff hanging down from the roof along the side of the R/V? Any chance it was caught on the roller tube?

find a few small r.v. dealers that do repairs. stop in and ask if they have a pile of junk r.v. awnings you can look through , if you find what you need , ask if you can have several pieces , not that you need a bunch but they aluminum comes in handy, " i.e." solar panel stand , boat transom repair, table legs ,etc. sell whats left to the recycler. ifyiu weld, you can get cast iron welding rods, just ask a clerk that is at a welging supply, " sells welders ,gas etc. " not t- supply , gebos ,etc.

That is just the end of the Christmas lights that are on the house. They did not get caught up - I didn't have them up when I put the slide-out out.
