Bedroom Slide issue

I have a 2015 Salem Hemisphere Lite 5th wheel. The bedroom slide extends but will not retract using the wall switch. If I bypass the happyjac slide room controller and apply power to the motor connector directly the slide moves in no problem. At the switch on the wall there is an RJ11 cable that goes to the happyjac controller and there are two wires on the switch as well. Should these wires be alive at 12V as well? They are dead but the control unit under the bed has 12V which is where I jumped from the controller power connector to the motor connector. Hope this doesn't sound confusing

It sounds like the retract limit switch is stuck on.
There are two small micro switches mounted at the slide that tells it when it's fully extended and fully retracted. Find the one that's made when the slide is fully retracted and it should be the problem. Hopefully it's just something holding it in.

Thankyou Bama Rambler. Will it be on the end of the rail? Can't see any of the rails. May have to try and figure out where it is and cut an access to it.

Unfortunately it is. Not only that, but it's kinda hidden.

Look at the bottom of page 7 in this manual and you'll see where they should be.

Bama Rambler, would you happen to know which limit switch would be which? There is limit switch A on the controller which has three terminals and switch B which has two terminals. Or if you happen to know which one is the in limit ie: outside or inside of the tipout. Just want to try and figure where to cut my access. Thanks in advance.

I just had a brainy idea. Don't think as fast as I once did lol. I will use my endocam on my laptop and see if I can find the limit switches that way.

I believe the one on the outside is the retract switch and the one on the inside is the extend switch.
