Question Change Rockwood slide seal type?

The bulb portion on my 2015 Rockwood Windjammer 3001 has detached in several places on all sides of both slides. The existing seals on my Windjammer are all one piece and are "stapled" to the camper. Currently it has black duct tape that I used to secure the bulbs to get home from the last trip...

The replacement part from Rockwood is a 2-7/8" "Single wiper with Flip bulb". The flip bulb seems to be the weak point on the seals. Is there any reason that I can't replace the current seals with something like the AP Products EK two-part seal system? The bulbs for that are removable and replaceable without having to also replace the wipers.

The available replaceable bulbs are the same size as the current bulb as is the size of the wiper blade. Seems reasonable, but I thought I would check for opinions before ordering either the original or a two-part replacement.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
