Dreaded "Slide won't Open" without manual help

I have a 2022 Rockwood mini-lite 2511s

I made a mistake, and opened the large slide out just a bit then closed it. Next time I tried to open it, it clicked but would not open. I use the manual screw, turning it barely an inch counterclockwise, and it worked find.

The a week or two later, it would not open again unless I turned the manual screw just about an inch or so. I can hear a clunk as it disengages or something like that. It worked.

I went under and lubricated everything I could see or get to. It worked fine, I opended and closed it twice.

Thoughts? I've heard that this can be a recurring problem now. It's an easy fix to get it working ... but could it get worse?

If so, how is something like this fixed? A realignment of sorts at the dealer's garage?

Thanks in advance

On some brands of slideouts, you are expected to run it all the way out and in until it stalls, every time. That resets the limit switches. I suggest you read the manual (yes, really) and see if yours is this type. Then, if yours proves to be this type, and you can get it to move at all, follow the manual procedure.

Sounds like the slide is an electric thru-frame type using a screw type actuator with motor/gearbox.

On mine no amount of lube cured problem as it was an issue within the motor itself.

I removed motor and found sticky brushes. Some tweaking of brush holders so brushes freely moved in/out cured problem.
