Flooded out door kitchen

Wondering on 365saqb what the wood material that the underside is made of. It is black. Wondering if it’s material that is more water resistant. Hoping it is more forgiving when getting wet ONCE. Someone left the sink running and filled up GALLEY tank and overflowed the sink. [emoji849]. Another mess for me to clean up and fix. [emoji849][emoji849]. Running dehumidifier and fans after cutting and removing carpet, Removing drawers, drawer supports, and bed trim from inside.

Here are the before pictures. When I’m done I will post after pics. Laminate is installed. Will cut out faucet holes and sink when glue dry and reinstall sink and new faucet. Click image for larger version

Keep the photos coming. Was the counter water damage too much to save?

Not sure what you mean but the water left on was hot and steamed the laminate off in a lot of places. Had to remove old laminate. It was not to bad but took some work. Had to trim it 5 times for really good fit. The water did not cause any damage because most ran out the way the Rv was leaning. Only minimal water went inside and all I had to do was remove carpet some carpet and dry it out. (I have a good dehumidifier).

I misunderstood your OP. I thought the "wood" under the laminate was damaged. I get it now. In any event keep the photos coming as the repair progresses.

Had to wait 3 days for glue to cure. Then will cut holes to reinstall the sink and faucet.
