Horizontal Adjustment

2018 Vbe 268RKS, the dealership doesnít know how to adjust the slide horizontally. They are trying to contact FR, but so far no luck.
I donít know which set up I have, but itís not cables and itís not hydraulic and it doesnít have the tracks on the side of the slide.
Any help would be appreciated,

Brian

Wow, that's some dealer you have there. From what you posted it appears you have a Lippert In-Frame electric slide. Here's a manual for it. If the techs at this dealership don't know how to do a horizontal adjustment I'd be a little leery of them messing with it.

If it's not a Schwintek system you most likely have a LCI Thru-Frame Slide. You can find a manual on the website for it. It has pictures of how to adjust the room horizontally and vertically.

D W beat me, but that's the manual. Look on page 14.

That appears to be the slide I have.
The dealership shop manager told me today that they could not find a way to make the horizontal adjustment, only a vertical adjustment.
Also, they don’t sell these new, my camper was previously owned and bought from somewhere else.
The dealership in question is a very reputable and respected one.

If you’re curious though, I’ll tell you.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the info.
It’s rainy here and as soon as I’m able, I will get under it and look for myself. Again, many thanks.

So, I have pictures of the underside of my slide and it’s definitely different than the service manual.
I have the vertical adjustment but I can for the life of me figure the horizontal adjustment.
As soon as I figure out how to copy and paste pics, I’ll send them.

I haven't seen a slide mechanism like that before. It looks like you have to loosen the bolts holding the room to the frame (you can see one in the first pic in the upper left) and move the room sideways. I can't tell from the pic if there's any slack in the holes or if they're slotted a little.

Bama Rambler, usually the angle iron has slots where the bolts come thru. I don’t have those slots. Therefore no horizontal adjustment.
I just don’t understand how this could have happened.

The right side of the slide wiper gaskets are extremely tight against the right wall and they barely touch the left wall.
It’s so tight against the right wall that it pulls the rubber seal out of the window.

Follow up:
So I talked to someone at FR the other day and the fix for my slide out is a little weird.
First, any exterior screw in the upper part of the skirt are removed.
Second, the nuts on the thru bolts are removed.
Third, the furniture on the slide have to be removed.
Fourth, the thru bolts are pushed up from under the slide as the carpet will move out of the way, ( because the carpet is not nailed or screwed down).
Fifth, the slide is then repositioned new holes drilled the refastened then everything reinstalled.
Hopefully nothing will get broken in the process.

That is a little strange. Hopefully it works out and everything is back in alignment.
