hydraulic slide pump

Hi, Does anyone know where the hydraulic slide pump is located on my sandpiper 292rl travel trailer. I'm having trouble finding that info. I've looked and can't find it. The underside is totally enclosed and I'm worried it is buried somewhere under there. It sure would be nice to check the hydraulic oil level on occasion. Thanks Jiffy

Are you sure it is not an electric motor as opposed to hydr. Can you see hydr rams underneath slide?

It says in the book that it is a Lippert hydraulic slide but there is no further info about location or service. I had trouble with my prior travel trailer which was electric alright and wanted to know how to deal with this suppossedly hydraulic slide in the event that it quit functioning sometime. Because everything is covered underneath there is a lot you cannot see. Plus sometime I would think it may need some hydraulic oil added. Jiffy

The hydraulic tank is usually in one of the outside access storage areas. It will be a translucent white with a reddish fluid in it. It should have a mark for full when the slides are closed, as this would be maximum fluid in the tank. Do not overfill, or you will make a mess at some point. This tank would probably not be inside, since the tank has a vented cap and this might let fluid contaminate food. Happy hunting.

FR is notorious for hiding components behind fake or blank off panels to clean up the appearance. Our pump and resevoir are inside a box inside one of our side compartments. Find the hydraulic rams for the slide and trace the hoses back to the pump. If you do have a hydaulic system you should have no problem finding it this way.

My pump is easily visible in front storage comp. You should be able to find yours as NW Jeeper mentioned.

Turns out that while fixing the furnace the mechanic said it has an electric slide not a hydraulic one even though it came with a manual for the lippert hydraulic slide. oops!! That makes sense since it has a hole opposite of the slide and a place to put a crank in the event it quit working. The mechanic made up a crank for a small fee for me. They are good people at Valley RV in Longview Wa.
