It happened again.. Slide didn't close

We were just finishing getting ready to switch sites to our previously reserved site when DW stuck her head out of the door and said, "It won't close again!"
Yep the bedroom Schwintek slide, the one I spent 2 hrs looking for the controller back in June, wouldn't budge. I started easy this time.... opened the panel next to the door and checked the little circuit breaker. Sure enough, it had tripped. I reset it and the slide worked.
2 minutes instead of 2 hrs. It's great to know your equipment! [emoji41]

Why not just get a auto reset breaker at the auto parts store

I had to do something like this on my C Class it was hidden behind a wall in a compartment being out of sight and out of mind I would forget it for a while then remembering it then reset it thats when I put in my auto reset LOL no more problem. I think when plugin up camper I would leave something on and it would pop off.

I had a similar problem with my slide out. We had arrived in Illinois at our site and were setting up about 6:00 PM a couple of years ago. When DW attempted to open the slide, it wouldn't work. Following some discussion she said it didn't ratchet when she closed it. I had to call my dealer, I friend of mine and he connected me with his repair tech who knew me and my trailer and immediately told me to look under the left from corner for the red fuse holder. That was it. I had to go chasing a 30 amp fuse. Thank goodness there was a Walmart near by in Ohio, about 5 miles away. Happened a second time months later and I replace it with an auto reset fuse. I don't understand why they aren't built with and auto reset.
