Main slide creeping out driving

We have a 2015 Cedar Creek 33RL 5th wheel. Our last trip we noticed the main slide moved out while driving about 2 inches. After sucking it back in it eventually crept out again. I see a very small amount oil residue under the pump by the reservoir but really cant see where it maybe coming from.

Anyone else have any ideas what may have started to happen?

I assume it has a hydraulic cylinder that moves the slide? Im not an rv tech but was a Caterpillar hydraulic troubleshooter for years. To me it sounds like your cylinder has an external leak. Either where a line connects or from the packing around the rod. It builds pressure when you suck the slide in but bleeds off due to the leak and the slide moves out.

Sorry not trying to steal this thread but I’m have same problem with front top of slide on 26fks, anyone with additional thoughts

I agree with Biggerfoot. If there is no fluid present around the hoses then it is more then likely leaking past the piston inside the cylinder. Then the cylinder has to be replaced. I haven’t seen any that were rebuildable.

X2 on hydraulic slides, cant compress oil so it has to be a leak that admits air into the system. That air can also come from a tank being to low or all rams on the level up system being extended to the limits and lowering the oil in the tank far enough to admit air into the system. Check the oil level in the tank when all the slides are retracted and the landing gear are all the way up.

This is only true of hydraulic systems. On electric driven slides, some slide motors have a brake which can fail. The motor works ok to move the slide, but without the brake working, the slide can creep back out, or in.
