Main Slide gear on 33LBHTS Silverback Fifth Wheel not working properly

Hello all I am new to this forum and I have a question. I have a 34 foot Cedar Creek Silverback. The main slide which is the couch and dinette is having some issues. When I open the slide the one I guess you would call it rod that actually pushes the slide basically makes loud banging sound. We opened the slide a little more and I broke a tooth to the gear mechanism. I'm assuming the gear isn't working properly. Anyone have any similar issue or understand what I'm saying. If this post doesn't read right it's because I really don't know how to explain the issue. In a nut shell I'm breaking teeth on the one gear and e gear on the opposite side appears to be fine.
