Manual crank for Schwintec slide out
I have a 2016 Forest River MBS 2400W. Where is the stub shaft located for manual cranking the slide out?

I don't believe the Schwintek has a manual crank. They are brought in electrically.

If it really is a Schwintek system, there is no manual crank. Suggest that you watch some Schwintek troubleshooting videos on YouTube, to understand how different it is, from other types of slide systems.

As Greywater said, Schwintek doesn't have a crank. They have an override on the controller to run it in if the motors will run. If they won't run you have to physically disconnect the motors from the gears and manually push the slide in.

I have nightmares about when (not if) my Schwintek slide is going to decide not to come in on it's own!

There are buttons on the controller that you press 7? Times and then you may be able to operate it. If that fails I think you can put the motor in some kind of neutral and manually push them in. Google it.

I too have a 2015 Forest River MBS, where is the controller?
We have looked all over and cannot find the controller for the slide. We have a Solera and there isn't anything in the manual about the controller. Does anyone have any idea where it might be?
Thank you for posting the YouTube video!

Could be under the bed, or in a storage compartment. Mine are in both places all 4 controllers.

Open (or close) the slide room half way. Look under it. If the controller isn't there, there should be black cables running towards the controller. I absolutely hate how they hide the controllers. Mine is under the slide, so if it open all the way I can't get to it. I would rather have the thing out in the open so I can see what is going on and easy to override if I needed to.
I pretty much hate everything about the Schwintek system. Everything is way too reliant upon the electric motors actually working.

That's because Schwintek has no idea where the RV manufacturers will put it, since it varies wildly between brands and models.
You need to post in the Motorhomes section's MBZ Chassis sub-forum, for the controller location in your Solera 24S.

On my small Leprechaun Motorhome, I have Schwintek motors on a slide-out. I would like to do a "practice" run of "pushing" the slide-out back in by hand.
Some videos say you have to climb up and expose motors along with disengaging them. (Ugh...too old for that in a practice drill!) T
THIS video says just to unhook two wires to push it back in:
Is this video correct? Can I do a practice drill where I run the slide out all the way out, unhook the two wires as shown, and push the slide out back in by hand (my wife and I doing the pushing!)
Thanks for advice.
