Manual Slide.

I have a single small slide on my Forester which, so far, has given me no problems, but I expect the honeymoon to end. Is it possible to disconnect the gear motors and just operate it manually? Just drop in some locks when you push it in to keep it from wandering when on the road.

If your unit is similar to this one in video with the top and bottom rails on the slide, then you have a Schwintek system. Here are some videos links to help you....
