manual tube for slide operation

The control panel went out on my 8324BS when preparing to leave a campsite - used a drill to retract the slides and all was going well until I was retracting the largest slide and evidently went too fast.
The tube came loose from it's attachment to the slide motor (or whatever it attaches to).
The tube has holes in the motor end that were somewhat "wallowed out" and the tube disconnected. I can't see the motor end because of the covering on the underside of the trailer.
I have bought a tube the correct size and a little thicker than the original, but would like to know how that attachment under the camper looks like.
Can anyone send a picture or describe how it is attached?
Thanks,
Boyd

Pull the coporlast (under belly) so that you can get to the operation gear. Are you sure you didn't snap a shear pin at the connection.

I can't do that - too old

I am too old to get under there and tackle that project.
I did make a new tube for the manual operation of the slide - drilled the holes and installed the pin in the outer end. It looks like it may have broken a shear pin on the inner end. The holes are wallowed out some and bent outward from center of the tube at the holes. A broken shear pin would be an easy fix, but my dealer is going to tackle that because of the under belly issue.
The tube that I used to make the new one is the same OD and looks to be a little smaller on the ID.
It took a lot of care to drill the holes in that small strong tubing - even with a drill press, because those small drill bits want to bend to one side or the other of the top of the tube - in retrospect, I could filed a small flat spot of v-notch to start the holes.
