Manually Retraction of Hydraulic Slide outs

Fairly new to the 5th wheel we have. On our first trip last year we had a problem with retracting our hydraulic slide outs. Ended up being a loss connection on the motor to drive the system. My question is how do you override the system and manually retract the slide outs. Would like to be prepared when something goes wrong again.

To manually retract hydraulic slides you have to open the manifold valves and physically push the slide in. A pretty labor intense process and usually requires more than one healthy person.

Tell us which unit you have and we may be able to find a manual for you on them,

When you which unit, are you talking about 5th wheel or the hydraulic system?

Either actually. If you tell us the RV make and model we can most likely figure out which hydraulic unit it has. Of course, if you know the make and model of the hydraulic unit itself it's a whole lot easier.

Bama

Sorry for the slow response. My 5th wheel is a Blue Ridge 3780, 2017 model. I looked for info on the hydraulic system and motor and only saw a label for Lippert Component Inc on the system. I Google the site but could not find any info on how to manually retract the slideouts. Any help you can provide me would be greatly appreciated.

On my lippert system on the back of the hydraulic motor is a sticker you remove it and use a cordless drill with a 1/4 in. hex chucked into it insert into the back of motor and run in one direction to retract the other to extend I don't remember which. That is the way mine works yours might be different with valves depending on what the hydraulic pump works besides slides and how many.

Go to http://www.lci1.com/support-master-manuals-6c6 and download the master towable manual. There are instructions with pictures on manual override for hydraulic slides and level up systems (pages 37 and 48).

Talking Manual use of Slide Out

I have read the instruction to remove sticker and use drill. The problem with these instruction on MY RIG is that the opening faces the metal wall with no hole. So i can remove the sticker, but can't get to the opening.

Any suggestions? i really don't want to have to take the entire motor off the base and turn it so i can use a hex head.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post a picture of the motor and pump?
That may help us come up with a workaround.

I attached 3 pics. One the outside of trailer to show no access. The hole showing is for my lifts only.
Next is where the sticker is located.
3rd is the pump itself.

Any help would be appreciated.

They didn't do you any favors when mounting that thing.
Looks like you're going to have to remount that in a better position.
Even a right angle drill or adapter doesn't look like it would work.
