No power to slides, landing gear or awning.

I was putting in the rear slides, one came all the way in the other stopped just before coming completely in. No power to switches for slides, awning or landing gear. it is a 2019 Salem 31KQBTS. It is hooked up to electric. I checked the breaker panel and none were tripped.

All of those items you mentioned operate on 12 volts. I suspect you have a blown fuse or a tripped automotive type circuit breaker. First, check the fuses in you electrical panel. If you see an illuminated LED by the fuse, it means the fuse is blown. Second, check for an ATO type fuse near your batteries on the tongue (it will be encased in a plastic covering), or an automotive type circuit breaker up underneath the front of the rig. If you find a circuit breaker look for a small black button which is the breaker reset. Push it to reset the breaker.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. X2 with the previous checks and also check the state of your batteries and that the converter is supplying 12 power to the batteries.

Thank you for the suggestions. It was the reset button for the battery.

Now that the power has been restored it would be a good idea to find the cause of the outage. What caused the circuit breaker to trip.

If operating a slide, make sure that the mechanism is clean and properly lubed. Any extra effort to move the slide by electric motor(s) can cause high current draw.

If this occurs often, just resetting the breaker doesn't cure the underlying problem.

One addition to Mike's excellent advice... sometimes those 12v circuit breakers just get weak and trip effortlessly. Sometimes it is just a matter of replacing a weak 12v breaker.

When this happened to me I installed a larger fuse. For some reason forest river put a 4 amp fuse in the system and the drain for operating the slides and Jack's is little more than 4 ramps. Havent has issues since.

Summary of Issue: All slides quit working while closing one of the slides. No fuses were blown in the fuse panel. No power to switch.

Solution: Thanks to DW, I was able to locate this on my 2020 Forrest River Salem 31KWBTS. The location was under the trailer enclosure, all the way to the front on the driver's side. It does not look like a typical fuse. See DW's image. Simply push the little black tab in on the side and you will hear a click. Slides work again.

DW, I have a 2007 Salem LE 27 ft travel trailer, and am replacing the slide after it leaked and rotted the wall and floor. It was moving just fine until a couple of days ago when it stopped working. No sound at all from motor when the button is pushed for moving the slide in or out. My battery was bad, and I have replaced it. I also pushed the tiny black reset button on the slide out fuse (?) right behind the battery. (The little box with the black button on the side you posted the pic of?) The little black button seemed soft, and I did not hear a "click." Should it have had some spring to it? Is there anything else I should look for? Fuses in fuse box in kitchen all appear fine. I've pushed the reset inside the trailer as well. I can run the thing in and out, manually.. but it's a pain. Ha! I appreciate any ideas you have!

2006 Forest River Georgetown 359 3 slides 2 on left won’t work and leveling jacks won’t move. Changed house batteries.
