Norco Accuslide causing damage on frame

Cables from Norco Accuslide are cutting horizontal holes in the vertical framing on both sides of the camper body where the slideout cables enter along top and bottom cables. They are nearly through the framing at this point. Cables on slide are positioned at the outer most point on all 4 brackets. We have never adjusted the cables and the slide has always worked properly. This is the beginning of the third season for this unit. Could the cutout for the slide possibly been cut too large, so that the cables are entering along the wrong area?
