Roo21Rs Rear Slide cracked wall

Hello
I have a 2008 Rockwood Roo 21Rs
the rear slide has damaged the rear slide wall opening with a 6in crack going from left top corner of slide opening to top left corner of the unit and a 4in crack parallel to roof line to the left edge of the trailer sidewall.
I have submitted a claim into the insurance which has been denied due to the logic that it is a maintenance issue and water damaging the frame and floor of the trailer from seepage into the unit
I have only had the trailer for less than 2 years and the estimate for repair is double what they say it is worth
I have found other threads where someone has gotten a hold of the company to confirm if this is a manufacturing issue or defect and would appreciate any information that would help with insurance to cover the claim
Should the frame in the wall be aluminum or wood?
would the floor rotting cause the slide mounts and motors to drop?
has there been any other cliams where it has been covered? If so what woding was used to assist in that process

It is very frustrating to pay insurance for something that I feel should be covered only to get denied and try and fight the red tape up the escalation ladder

your help and information is appreciated

Yes, water intrusion can damage flooring and the walls. This can result in failures in many ways. It can cause weakened areas in framing and support.
It's a 13 year old unit that probably wasn't maintained properly by previous owners, such as roof caulking or seal maintenance. So such failures are a common result.
Did you have it inspected before you bought it, for such maintenance issues?

I understand your frustration, but I think you're fighting a losing battle with the insurance company.
All the problems you're having can be caused by water damage from leaks (roof, windows, wheel wells, slides, etc.) No insurance is going to cover damage from poor maintenance which is the owners responsibility. It sounds like the previous owners didn't know how to do the maintenance or didn't want to pay for someone else to do it.
Sorry. Wish we could help.

Before you have to trash the trailer because of high cost of repair, call these folks to see if they can help you fix the damage and make the trailer whole again for possibly less...

I have not used them but others that have give glowing reports...

I think he only works on Cedar Creeks, not Rockwoods.
