Should I Worry about This?

On the topper of my rear slide, I notice this rubberish seal (like a string) protruding out a bit. Tried to slide it back into the track it is in with no luck. Looks like to completely reseat, I would have to take the topper off the roller to get to the track...something I have no experience doing.

Here's a closeup pic showing it on the left side and another showing the same look (without any protruding seal) on the right.

Anything I really should do to prevent a future issue here? Thx!

What you need to try is to unroll the roller a little to loosen the fabric and try to slide the rod back into the slot. You may need to take a pair of needle nose pliers to get it to push in. Grab it close to the roller and move it a little at a time.

If you have a strap wrench or something you can rig up as a strap wrench it makes unrolling the roller and holding it a lot easier.

I would check the other end 1st, if it is not pulled in on the other end then it is just extra and either leave it or trim it.
