Slide Leak - One spot

Hi all!

2017 Forest River Sunseeker 3050S with the full wall slide. I have had a pesky leak for a while and can't seem to find out what the source of the leak may be. Right at the L shape of the slide when it rains (not all the time) for some reason a section under the cabinets gets wet. The sandwiched plywood and part of the plywood above the aluminum. There's a slight curve in the slide box so I do know that it may just not be sealing properly regardless, though I do run the slide as tight as I can with the controller. I suspect it's the trim/seal because this area there's wiper seals etc all coming together. I made the mistake of putting eternabond tape on the trim temporarily but clearly not the way to go. It's odd that it's only this area, the other areas seem dry as a bone so I think there is one entry area in the L shape of the slide that is causing this. My plan is to reseal the trim first, the seals look okay not worn and see if that helps. I was stationary and not driving it in the rain and not using the slide out but I did run it out after a large amount of rain so maybe this dumped in when I did that but just wish I had checked prior to see if it was wet. I'd like to put this one to bed! I suppose some things I'm thinking about:

1. What trim sealant would you recommend
2. Do the rollers on full wall Schwintek slide have aluminum framing above the Luan? If its "spongy" I envision a roller diveting the Luan but was curious if anyone knew if aluminum tubing ran out where each roller is.

This is a very detailed question and I am surprised there are no responses. I have a similar problem with my Forester. Is there no one in the community with the knowledge or at least a suggestion?

I found on our Schwintec system the water was running down the side to the rail, curving underneath and into the trailer. I did find that the rubber was not fitting correctly due to some massive amount of glue and silicone applied by others. I removed it, straightened out the rubber at the top and sides, correctly applied GE Silicone in a manner to keep the rubber in the correct position when open and when closed. That fixed the issue.

In a temporary measure, while trying to identify the leak, I set the trailer so the slide side was tilted to be slightly lower. Just enough to have the water run in the opposite direction. So slight one would never notice the trailer was not level.

Update to this issue

Hi all,

I ended up taking it to a repair shop. They went over the whole thing and resealed the picture frame trim again, they also manufactured a custom seal for the ends due to my slide having a slight bend in it! I plan to pick it up and will monitor to see if I still have any further leaks.

Thanks!
