Slide needs pulled out to see what needs repaired
When I took our Sunseeker (2016) 23.9 to be summerized, the RV Repair shop noticed that our slide was quite jerky as it came out and went in. On further investigation, it appeared that the unit must have been hit on the small area of the motorhome behind the driver’s door. I was unaware that some new rock guard was replaced there and some small wallpaper repairs were made in the wallpaper inside behind the driver’s seat. The dealer did not make us aware that there had been cosmetic repairs made prior to our purchasing the motorhome.
As we used the motorhome for 2 seasons, the rock guard started showing cracking. The repair outfit says that there could be anything from minimal damage to much more damage under the slide in the inside. The slide needs to be removed in order to make the necessary repairs. The repairs are going to be in the $3-5,000.00 range.
Is there anyone else who has had to have their slide removed for any reason?
