Slide out dead

So I'm a new to me 2000 27' Salem . It has a powered slide out that has worked great for this last year I've owned it. Went to pull the slide out in and there was some breif clicking then nothing. I checked the batteries and all is good. I checked the breaker box and didn't see anytjing. I checked the owners manual in it doesn't have any useful info. What should I look for?

Should be a fuse specific for the slideout.
It was along the frame, under the slideout, on our Rockwood.

Check for an inline circuit breaker.

I don't know what a 27' Salem is? (TT - 5th wheel?)
Some models have a circuit breaker (some with a reset button) that feed the slides.

Some of these are located near the battery in the front compartment or along the frame.

Check connections and wiring. A corroded connection can cause headaches.

Do you own a multimeter and know how to do basic electrical tests at the switch and motor?

It was next to the breakers at the bottom of the bed in the back bedroom

That's not where I suggested that you look.
I said the slideout should have its own fuse, underneath the trailer near the bottom of the slideout.
Usually is a 30 amp fuse.

Ya...I did look there as well and didn't find anything. I looked under the whole trailer and in the whole trailer. ....

How did you check the batteries? Brief clicking sounds like discharged battery. Dont go by the LED's that show battery charge unless you hold that battery test button down at the same time you push the slide button. That will give you the true charge of the battery under load. Just a suggestion...

It is currently plugged in so wouldn't it function off the power from the outlet? I might be wrong.

The slide out is 12v and still works off the battery.

You never replied as to how you determined the battery was good. Slides usually work off the battery and converter when on but if the battery is shot the converter may not be able to supply enough current to run out slide..
