Slide out fault

Hello! I found a thread on here that has my exact problem but it didn’t show a solution. I could not reply due to the thread being to old. Anyways, I’m having a slide issue. The slide will start to come in (or go out) and one motor stops and then the other quickly behind it and then nothing. The controller says it’s a short between controller and motor. Any solutions for this issue would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Is it a Schwintek slideout system, with two track rails on each side of the slideout?

With it fully retracted - if possible- swap the motor 1 and motor 2 plugs at the controller.

Have looked at the many Schwintek troubleshooting videos available?

The controller will have 2 plugs, one for motor 1 and one for motor 2. Try swapping those. The controller will also have 2 spade terminals for in/out- dont swap those.

It’s possible that simply unplugging them and then reconnecting them will work. The two slides run by the controllers you see there were doing what you describe. I was getting a 2/8 error code on both of those- short in motor 2 wiring. I swapped to see if I would then start getting the same error code but now showing as a motor 1 error( what should happen if there actually is a short in the wiring or motor) and they’ve worked perfectly since.

Another note- I had the slides both lined up properly when I swapped, which is why I recommended you have the slides all the way in. I persoanllly think it was some type of synchronization issue- so attempting this with the slides sitting “womper-jawed” might lead to the issue not being resolved.
