Slide out grease??

Sorry if this is a dumb question. UT I just bought my first rv and I have 2 slides. My question is should I grease the teeth under the slide out when it's all the way out? I don't know how to describe it but it's the pole under the slide with the gear teeth that I'm referring to. There is nothing on them currently and I don't want to screw anything up. Thanks in advance

I have a can of dry lube just for this, I have one slide that squeaks every now and then, a little spray and all good for a long time!

Yes, I use this... https://www.amazon.com/Protect-All-4...rds=slide+lube spray it on, let it dry. It is a dry lube thus will not tend to pick up dirt..

X3. No grease, use dry lube only. Available at most auto parts stores.
