Question Slide Out Motors

I have a 2009 Forest River V-Lite, the slide out motor is a Dexter. I looked online for replacements. Cannot find that motor anywhere, Does any one know if those kind of motors can be replaced with another brand like Lippert etc.

Can you post a picture and any part/model numbers on the motor/gearbox?

The wall you are running into is Lippert bought out Dexters chassis division in 2011. That's what Lippert does. Then they price replacement parts if they are even still obtainable, out of sight.

Hopefully by contacting Lippert they still make or have one compatible.

My dealings with Lippert have been mixed depending on who you make contact with. Once I made contact with someone who knew everything about the seals and construction of their secure lock bunk doors for hybrids. Another time regarding frame and water tank supports I made contact with a complete idiot who was lucky to know they even made trailer components.
