Slide-out Rollers not supporting Slide

I had only one of four rollers contacting properly and it wasn't level. After jacking it up I used a 90 degree screwdriver and added body shims to get all the rollers up and level. Frustrating that this had to be done, but it is right now.

Our 2016 3010DS also experienced "cam-follower bearing" failures. They crushed from either mis-adjustment or possibly too much weight in the overhead storage compartments above the dinette/sofa areas.
I replaced them myself after waiting over 6 months for the dealer to "get me scheduled in".
The original bearings were rated at a very low load specification. I replaced them with much higher rated, same size, bearings. Not an easy task, but tired of waiting on the dealer (they win!)

How much did you have to lift it to get at the fasteners. Were the fasteners Phillips? How far did you have to shim it up? Went to the big box store to purchase a right angle screwdriver. I'm not sure if the one I found is small enough. It absolutely amazes me that this kind of bad assembly gets out the door. In my opinion this is not an isolated problem we are having. I imagine there are a lot of these slides out there not properly supported. They work for about a year until the mechanism fails and then FOREST RIVER can wash its hands of it because it's out of warranty. Now it's our problem and as you have found, good luck trying to find a shop that wants to deal with it

Didn't lift it much, just enough to remove weight so I could put rollers up enough to insure the would carry weight. Yes, they are just regular Phillips screws. I got a small right angle kit at Lowe's, kobalt. Some of the rollers needed a quarter inch, others one eighth, etc. I had a body shim assortment from harbour freight. Took several tries to get it right, but they all roll now.

Has anyone had problems with the inside of the slide rubbing on the floor? My bedroom slide was scraping and I noticed one side of the bed base (foot of the bed) was dragging on the floor. I assume there is a roller under there? Thought I'd try this forum before taking it apart.

Mine has rollers on the inside as well, not easy to get at them.

I have a 2016 Salem Cruise Lite 253RLXL with a Schwintek slide. My problem is the roller are cutting into the bottom of the slide floor. I have been reading and found people having the opposite problem of the rollers not touching. That can be shimmed. I can't find anything on my problem. Any suggestions?

It doesn't look like rollers are cutting into bottom from the picture. To me it looks like something on the other side of the wall is doing the cutting. The material on the bottom of the slide does not look like a hard surface. If it is not there should be some sort of indent caused by the rollers. Is the bottom a hard surface?

The material on the bottom of the is something like a nylon fabric over wood. There are 3 of the roller doing this. The one in the picture is the worst. I'll look further to see if I can find what's cutting it.

I,m having the same problem. What’s worse is that the wood seems to be slightly rotten from retaining moisture. I plan on fastening an aluminum plate in this area to give the roller something to roll on.

After looking at my situation further, it appears that a seam in the plywood is right at the edge of 3 of my rollers. The plywood next to the roller is supported by a floor joist and the plywood that the roller is riding on has no support under it. Therefore, the weight of the slide is pushing the unsupported plywood in. The solutions that I see are: 1. Move the rollers over to ride on the floor joist (almost impossible), 2. Add support for the "flexing" plywood (again, almost impossible), 3. Add a metal plate the width of the slide for the roller to ride on.

What make/model trailer do you have?

Many Berkshires have had to put metal plates where the rollers were leaving marks. Skip
