No pros. All cons. They are a very bad idea for several reasons.

Been searching for this answer. I had read it but couldn't find it to show DH. Makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the quick response.

The slides are engineered to be unsupported and if you put any support under it and the couch settles you are putting upward force on the slide out. That can result in substantial damage.

The slide rails are the structural support that was engineered to hold the slide when both in and out. Never use supports in the event of settling as others have mentioned.

If the slide appears to be sagging or the like, chances are that it may either need an adjustment (not something for the average person to do) or you have a structural issue that needs to be repaired/replaced.

If the slide is properly adjusted, it shouldn't have much bounce when fully out.

As i was extending the slides, the dinning room/kitchen slide with the residential refrig ripped the wall from the floor on the side where the refrig is. I called the dealer service center we had just left and they said I should have a support under it. I asked how can I have a support under it AS IT IS MOVING OUT?

That's an idiotic answer from the dealer. You should call Cedar Creek directly.
