Slide out stuck

I have a 2018 Forester MBS 2400. When I tried to extend the slide out today, the front moved out about 4 inches while the rear of the slide didn’t move. I can’t retract it. There were no unusual noises. I haven’t driven over uneven roads or terrain. I have never had this happen before with this or any other rv I have owned. Any ideas? Thanks.

Is it a Schwintek, BAL cable, or Lippert hydraulic slide? If ST or BAL, lots of info on this forum; do a search. Also, there are videos on YouTube about ST and BAL. WRT to it not retracting, it may have jammed as it deployed. Sometimes all it takes is to have someone operate the retract switch while you push on it from the outside. Lippert has instructions on thier website for their products, too.

The slide out mechanism is a Schwintek. Tried to push it in when my wife flipped the retract switch, but no help. Seems there are two motors, and the rear is not working. The slide out is probably jammed in its present position. Evidently, there is no simple solution. Thanks for your help.

It's fairly easy to disengage the motor to allow the slide back in.
