Slide out trim replacement

I was hoping someone could help me identify the proper name/material for this slide out trim. As you can see from the pics it is cracking and coming out. It feels like a rubbery plastic. Pretty flexible. But this slide gets a lot of sun. So it's now brittle and breaking apart.

If anyone has replaced this before and you can also ID a vendor or any install lessons learned it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ron, does this trim sit in a channel, like the pictures in the link paverdave posted, or does this go around the edge of the slide, as a seal? It's a little hard to tell from your pictures.

It's a channel on the face of the slide. The large black frame is like a picture frame that outlines the whole slide. This trim is on the inside of that frame. Pic added.

Replaced recently on my bedroom slide. Very easy and cheap!

Thanks. Ordered today. I measured 36 feet, so the 35 ft was no good. Saw the 100 was only $3 more than 50 ft, so ordered the extra length.

Trim

Posted this very question on the RPOD forum about an hour ago. Thanks for sharing the solution. Question...at the corners the trim looks as if it has to be mitered, did you use an adhesive to attach the vertical pieces with the horizontal pieces or does it not have to be that exact...thinking water leakage and aesthetics for my ocd?

Thanks Ron. The reason I asked is because mine needs replaced also, but mine appears to be different. Mine looks like this (my 5th wheel is a 2010 model...it appears they have changed the way the do the slide seals).

If this is what seals the slide out to the side wall when it is in, it is called bulb seal. There are several versions so you may have to measure it before you order.

Yes Bubbles... That is exactly the piece. And here it is, ordered and delivered from Kentucky to Pennsylvania in 13 hours. Transportation Logistics simply amazes me sometimes.Click image for larger version

Gotcha Bubbles. I'll have to look a little closer at mine, not that you pointed them out. But the black seal trim is what I need to replace on mine.

Ron, that's cool that you found yours and got it at your door in the span of two days! Incredible.

Trim Replaced

I was able to remove and replace my trim. Super simple. The longest part of the job was trying to find a lost screw that dropped.

Here is how I did it.
Have Fun!
Ron
