Question Slide out will not go out

I have a Sanibel 5th wheel, the slide will not extend out. When I push the switch to extent the slide there is zero response from the motor no sound what so ever. The strange part of this is, when I push the button to bring the slide out in ( it already is closed thank goodness ) the motor will engage to bring in the slide. I have already replaced the switch with the oem factory installed switch but still no response. I get the same result as mentioned ? Does anyone have a thought on what may be happening here ?

Thanks

Hi Fred, Welcome to the forum..

How about your front landing gear? Will they go up and down? The landing gear uses same hydraulic pump and what is called a trombetta relay. The relay reverses the power to the pump.

The relay will be close to the pump and two large black wires will run to the pump.

You can test the relay by removing the green and yellow, wires and touching those terminals one at a time with 12v. See if the relay activates in both directions.

Try this, if works we will go,to,step,2. Do you have a level up system?

That’s ok, so your only hydraulics is your slides? I assumed you had hydraulic slides?

Ok, you have Schwintek slide system. I can’t help you with that. There was a thread just recently with a lot of reference links to use and troubleshooting of these. I will look for it or hopefully the original poster will respond.

Good luck...
