Slide out's didnt extend...at first.

Folks this season when i opened the camper.. (FR - Salem 36 FLKB) the two slides didn't move out at first. After I shoved them a few times, and my Neighbor at the campground sprayed them with some Orange gunk (not sure what this was, but will find out) .. they finally released and went out..
Can I treat the tracks and gears with something to help the situation, and to hopefully ensure this doesn't happen again. ?

Dry lube on the gears and tracks. There is a slide seal conditioner to use on seals and wipers. Baby powder also works on the seals

I am a seasonal camper. I lubricate my gears 3x a season, when I open and close and once 1/2 thru the season. Our slides out 24-7, I also condition the seals the same 3 times and after the trailer gets a bath. I use the recommended products. No issues in the 3 years....(knocking on wood). My theory is that a little bit of time on maintenance now and then, will save me mountains of time and headaches later. besides that, when DW see's me working on the trailer, she goes in and makes cookies! I think she thinks, it keeps me from asking her to help...... Hmm in fact I think I have some maintenance to do this weekend.....

Happy Trails ya'll!
