Slide sagging

I’ve noticed a sound when the slide is being run out that sounds like the teeth hitting something, then stops as the slide approaches full extended position. Also the slide itself appears to have sagged noticeably. It noticed it first on the table as a pencil rolled across the table. A level placed in multiple spots confirms that the slide is nowhere near level. Could something be loose underneath or the ram arms bent?

Not sure about the noise you are hearing but something to check is it may not be the slide it may be the suspension and or stabilizers once you are level and run the slide out check for level of the Rig again to ensure its the slide and not the Rig leaning.

It is the slide. The floor in the main part is level. The stabilizer jacks are down. The noise is rhythmic, it’s the sound of the teeth hitting the frame or floor as the slide goes out.

You may want to go outside and check the slide gears for lube maybe the tracks are dry and check all the attachment points for the operating gear.

Doubtful the tracks need lube. It’s only 6 months old. The sound is coming from under the floor of the main unit, not the slide. It’s the sagging that I’m concerned about.

Sounds like the gear pack near the motor. I had the same problem and had to cut a flap in the coroplast to get it lubed. I understand there is a place on the frame you can drill a hole and get there also but it just seemed easier to cut plastic.
Unit may need to be adjusted to level. Check how it sits when in. There is a manual on the slide that tells how to check and adjust. If only 6 months old should be able to get covered by warranty.

At 6 months it should still be under warranty. If it isn't lube won't do anything for sagging so that means you need to get under the slide, expose the mechanism, and watch it to see what is going on. Check the brackets for movement. Once you identify the problem then you can figure out the best repair.

Talked to 2 techs at the dealer who looked the slide over and watched it run in and out several times. They said no problem continuing to use it (we are leaving for the winter this week) and they’ll check the source of the sagging when we get back. The adjustments will not address the sagging and will only screw up the tight seal on closing alignment, as I suspected. They also verified that no lubing is necessary or even recommended. It’s a Lippert system on a super slide.
