Slide Topper and Patio Awning

I am the second owner of a 2006 Forest River Georgetown 340TS/SE. I replaced the Patio Awning fabric when I we purchased the Georgetown. I am noticing a wear pattern on the new fabric caused by the Slide Topper for the Kitchen. When the patio awning is extended and the kitchen slide is extended or retracted the "Anti Billow Stop" rotates and rubs on patio awning fabric. When the kitchen slide is fully extended the "Anti Billow Stop" points strait up and pushes against the fabric.

Is there a fix for this? I have checked installation it is good and nothing is broken.

I 'think' the anti-billow arm is adjustable (I seem to recall an allen screw holding it on my 5th wheel roller or something to that effect?) so maybe it could be rotated slightly back towards the stop. It would still clear by the time it rotates out.

The other thing is... it seems that arm is awfully long. It only has to be long enough to touch any part of the stop on the side of the rig. Could you pull the protective cap off an cut it shorter? Would that even help?

Just some thoughts.
