slide uneven top-to-bottom

I have a 3170DS with a large slide on passenger side. The slide seal closest to the door is uneven top to bottom. When the slide is out, the bottom is sealed tightly on the inside but the top is not. When in, the top of the slide is sealed against the side but the bottom is still out 2 inches or more. I can see at least two inches of the slide track when the slide is suppose to be in. On the opposite (bedroom end) all looks good. The coach is leveled all times. We have used for 14+ nights this year with no issues.

1) Can I disconnect the motor from the controller and try:
-------to push the top out when extended?
-------to push the bottom in when slide is pulled in?

2) Does anyone know if the motor closest to the door is motor 1 or motor 2?

Leave for Destin in two days and doubt I can get a service center in that time.
